This excursion is an excellent option for those who are looking for a different activity during their stay in Bariloche. The hike to the Neumeyer Refuge Frozen Lagoon combines gentle exploration, contact with the snow, regional gastronomy and time to enjoy in peace and quiet.
Departure is from meeting points near the lodging, located on Bustillo Avenue or Pioneros Avenue up to km 8. There are two shifts available: from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm or from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, so you can choose the one that best suits your itinerary.
Once at the refuge, the guides provide the equipment and accompany the hike with snowshoes along snowy trails. During the tour, stops are made to observe the flora of the Andean forest, take photos and learn more about the natural environment. In the lagoon, already frozen, a tea with regional alfajor is offered, and on the way back a full lunch at the refuge heated.
At the end, there is free time to enjoy with culipatines in the snow. A safe and fun activity, ideal for groups of friends or travelers who want to get to know Patagonia beyond the traditional circuits.
