Main description: Enjoy the snow in a safe and guided way at the Neumeyer Refuge.
The excursion begins with a transfer from strategic meeting points, located near the accommodations in Bariloche on Bustillo Av. or Pioneros Av., to km 8. From there, the group heads to Refugio Neumeyer, within the beautiful Challhuaco Valley, a natural area surrounded by forests and mountains.
Once at the refuge, specialized guides explain the use of snowshoes and begin the hike through quiet trails, crossing a thousand-year-old lenga forest. It is a low-difficulty tour, ideal for those who are visiting the snow for the first time. During the walk there are pauses to observe the landscape and take pictures, until reaching the Mirador del Valle, a panoramic viewpoint with views of the Andes Mountains and the Patagonian steppe.
Back at the refuge, participants enjoy a typical mountain lunch, with a starter, main course, dessert and drinks included. The afternoon closes with an entertaining activity: downhill in culipatines, designed for all ages.
This excursion includes transportation from points close to the lodge, professional guide, complete snowshoeing and snowshoeing equipment, use of the refuge, and a regional gastronomic proposal. No previous experience is required, and it is an excellent option for those who want to experience the snow in a natural, well cared for and accompanied environment.
